The Good Kinda Sore...

My boyfriend asks me, "why didn't you go to spin this morning?".  I said "because I'm too sore."  Yes, I just COULD NOT sit on that bike for an hour, if you get my drift.  I'm going tomorrow when some of it wears off, and hoping, praying, that I get used to it, because after all, I really like spin classes.

After my lunchtime workout yesterday I went back to the gym and warmed up for 5 minutes on the elliptical and then did about a half an hour of weight training.  Chest & back was my focus.  I did alternating push-ups and pull-ups, 2 sets, 10 reps of 6 different push-ups, 3 different pull-ups, heavy pants, lawnmowers and back flys, then 25 reps of 8 different ab moves.  Pretty taxing, but a great workout.  Today I'm going to do 45 minutes of straight cardio then back to my weight training tomorrow's shoulders & arms.

I promised I'd post my stuffed mushroom recipe.  It really is amazing and so easy, plus gluten and sugar free.

We had these the night before, as an appetizer, with the Penne Beef.  Yum!

Last night we had Stuffed Peppers.  They were great.  Silly me, I realized half way through my "after work shopping trip", that I couldn't eat couscous.  So, we decided to substitute it with brown rice.  It came out even better, I thought.  We cook 5 to 6 nights a week so aside from keeping it interesting it's very important for me to keep it simple.  If it's too hard to prep or too link too cook, or there are too many ingredients or too many steps, I'm not interested, and I think most people are the same way.

I'm really looking forward to doing some posts with new kinds of content, to round out my blog.  I really love fashion and beauty, and am doing lots of research on things you all might want to read about.  Holidays and shopping are always on the front of people's minds so I definitely will be writing about those upcoming.  I gotta get my hiney on Pinterest (my absolute FAVE), I mean it, I am an addict, and get to searching for new stuff.

Coming up I hope to be doing a little more traveling for work and getting to post about those too.  I hope to have my signature up by next week and just roll out more cool junk.  I still have to figure out what I'm gonna do for next week's workout.

All that said, so much to come...
